Karma Sheen have dropped their latest single, ‘Without You (Raag Jog)’. The Hindustani Classical psych-rock band have a unique sound that blends memorable Pakistani classical melodies with a 60s rock sound that is nuanced by psychedelic influences. The track is introduced to us via an atmospheric sitar, and explodes into life as a sprawling, 6-minute epic punctuated by space rock jams and wah-heavy funk. The track “captures the raga's essence, guiding us through a journey of shedding the past and paving a path to a brighter tomorrow, all while embracing the delicate plea of "Jia nahi laageh Tum Bina Mora” which translates to: My soul is at an unrest without you.” The band’s self-titled debut album is out on October 13th, 2023. -Dan Peeke.
